A beautifully crafted Damascus inlaid games table, dating to the late 19th century and showcasing the remarkable craftsmanship of Syrian furniture makers. The richly patterned surface features intricate micro-mosaic geometric inlay composed of contrasting woods and shimmering mother-of-pearl, arranged in traditional star and diamond motifs.
The hinged top opens to reveal a spacious interior and additional decorative inlay, highlighting the exceptional detail carried throughout the piece. Slender legs and a distinctive stretcher base complete the elegant silhouette. Pieces of this type were produced in Damascus for export to Europe during the late 1800s and are admired for their complex geometry and meticulous hand craftsmanship.
