Patricia Barrowman was born in 1953 in Montreal. She spent her childhood in a small mining village in northern Quebec. From a young age, Barrowman was influenced by her grandmother, who was also an artist; she introduced her to drawing, painting, and took her to museums. She began painting horses around adolescence, a subject that has stayed with her to this day.
Measures approximately 8 inches tall by 11 inches long.
